Why DFMSuccess Stories

    Issue: Cluster not showing up

If a cluster fails to appear in the DFM dashboard:

    • Verify the DFM server’s network connectivity.
    • Utilize the Refresh button on the Clusters page to force a manual data reload.
    • Inspect application logs for detailed error analysis.

    Issue: LDAP Synchronization Failure

If user or group synchronization from the LDAP directory fails:

    • Verify the DFM server’s network connectivity.
    • Confirm that the configured Login DN and associated password are correct and possess sufficient read access to the directory tree containing the users and groups.
    • Validate firewall and network access rules between the DFM server and the LDAP server on the configured port.
    • Review the configured LDAP settings, specifically the Base DN and the defined User/Group Filters.
Note: A common cause of synchronization failure is an incorrectly set Base DN (which may cause the search to begin too high or too low in the directory) or a User/Group Filter that is overly restrictive.
